I Would See It If They Made It

Hollywood-ers trying to one-up each other once again...

Hollywood Players Vie to Tell DeLorean's Story

John DeLorean with the DMC-12

Fact: The DeLorean DMC-12 (The only model ever put into production by the short-lived company), otherwise known as the car in Back To The Future, was made out of stainless steel! At one point, the demand was so high and the wait-list so long, some customers offered to pay up to $10,000 above the listed price of $25,000 in order to own the car. About 3,500 of them still exist today.

I can't believe there are still that many of them. Sweet.

As they say, the movie placed the car so high in the ranks of American pop culture icons so much that seeing this model immediately screams of "back to the future!" It's actually back in production, with most of the parts coming from the closed assembly plant. The company and its owner are quite interesting as well.
